Beam Suntory is Crafting the Spirits that Stir the World. Rooted in two centuries of family heritage, Beam Suntory has evolved into one of the world's leading premium spirits companies where each employee is trusted with a legacy. With our greatest assets – our brands and our people – we're driving growth through impactful marketing, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.

Brenae Royal is the Vineyard Manager of the celebrated Monte Rosso Vineyard in Sonoma Valley, one of the most acclaimed winegrowing sites in California. She grew up surrounded by agriculture in California’s Great Central Valley, an industry she would come to love and make her lifelong passion and career. Brenae studied Crops and Horticulture Science at California State University, Chico and during her senior year, after developing a palate for bold red wines, decided to pursue a career in viticulture. Upon graduation she was recruited as an intern by E. & J. Gallo Winery and was appointed Monte Rosso Vineyard Manager in 2015. “Viticulture is still very male-dominated, so to drive more inclusion and diversity can feel like an uphill battle,” says Brenae. It’s a battle that Brenae has done anything but back down from. Monte Rosso Vineyard is the source of some of the most coveted Cabernet Sauvignon and has produced grapes of unmistakable character for more than a century. Part of the vineyard’s mystique is that its signature qualities seem impervious to producer and variety. “Recognized by the Historical Vineyard Society, Monte Rosso wines are immediately identified, even when tasted blind,” she adds. “My goal is always to preserve what is special about Monte Rosso,” she says. “Hopefully it will be producing for another 132 years.” Brenae is responsible for a myriad of vineyard management duties, from running the on-site crew to overseeing viticultural innovations – all with her trusty black lab, Violet Mae, by her side.

Julie Meyers joined the Beam Family in 2004 as a Distillery Supervisor at the Booker Noe Campus. Two years later, Julie transferred to the Clermont Distillery. After serving 14 years as Distillery Supervisor, Julie was promoted to Distillery Manager at the Clermont Campus.

Julie manages the Distillery Team and is dedicated to continuing the Beam family legacy of distilling the very best bourbon in the world. As Distillery Manager, her work with the Distillery Team has increased production by two million gallons! Julie has also played an integral role with the Site Steering Committee for Plant Safety. With her support, this team has helped drive improvements in the safety culture at both campuses. The success of the team has elevated the Booker Noe and Clermont campuses to the leaders in safety performance at Beam Suntory. Julie is thrilled to have the opportunity to distill one of the most iconic spirits in the world. She looks forward to mentoring other women who want to join the vibrant world of North American Whiskey distillation.

While working with K-C, she managed three manufacturing facilities in Wisconsin and Oklahoma.
