Chelsea Castro is a mom of a sassy six year old and works for Moët Hennessy as an Activation Specialist in Prestige Off-Premise accounts. She began her journey with the wine and spirits industry with MHUSA in 2015 in her birthplace of New York. In 2020 at the height of COVID she started The Parent Collective, one of the first formal ERG’s at MHUSA. Helping to establish an annual college scholarship for employees high schoolers, implementing mental health days and extending parental leave are some of her most proud accomplishments at the helm of the ERG. In 2021 she moved to FL (as most of NY did) and currently resides there with her family. At the end of 2022 she handed over the reins of the ERG to 3 of her amazing colleagues and is still an active participant in the group. She is excited to now be working with some amazing industry mom’s to help propel the Parent BRG forward under the guidance of WOTV. They say it takes a village, and the bigger, the better!
Andi is a 16-year industry veteran, 15 of those years have been with SGWS. She was hired at (then) Southern Wine & Spirits back in 2009 as the Executive Assistant to the VP of Ohio – since that time, the region has expanded to the 10 states SGWS considers West Control (OH, IA, MI, AL, MS, UT, ID, MT, WY, OR). Her scope of responsibility and the size of the corresponding business has grown greatly over the last decade and a half, now supporting the entire 17 state Control region in a wide variety of operational tasks.
In 2021, Andi co-founded an employee resource group at Southern Glazer’s centered around Women in Leadership. CHEERS to Women in Leadership is a Control State-wide ERG with 150 members (men and women) dedicated to developing employees for future growth within the company. In 2023 she was selected to be part of Southern Glazer’s DEI Leadership Council, helping to further advance D&I initiatives at SGWS. Andi is very excited and honored to use her ERG background and experience as a working mother to help grow the Women of the Vine & Spirits Working Parent’s group.
Most importantly, Andi is a proud Mama to an almost 4-year-old daughter and is currently expecting a son this March. She’s happily married, living in Columbus, Ohio. She met her husband Jake in 2012 and their main goal since has been to travel as much as possible! Together they love food, booze, mountains, and beaches.
