Steve Reiner has been with Southern Glazers for almost 20 years. Much of his career was spent in Miami, before relocating to Chicago and Dallas. Steve has held a variety of roles starting in sales, management, and executive positions. Steve started entry level as he was graduating college; Spent two years in a sales role learning how to talk with customers.
Next, he moved into his first management position which gave him his first dose of managing people. During this time is when he went back to school and received an MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale. As he was graduating, Steve earned a promotion as the State Manager. In this role is where he learned how important stellar communication skills will become in his career.
Steve was successful in sales up to this point and was about to embark on hard core lessons in management and leadership. From here is where Steve’s story gets interesting, and he begins some of the toughest roles he has held in business. Not tough because of the tactical work. Tough because of the interpersonal work that was going to transpire in the coming years. The next two roles are where he learned a lot about people, himself, and leadership. Much of the stories Steve loves to share come from these two positions because of the impact they had on the growth he has enjoyed since. During these two positions, he created the leader he is known for today through awareness, experience, and practice.
In 2021, Steve wrote a book called Leaders Created that captures the mistakes he made and lessons he learned during the first 20 years of his career. The book is available on Amazon.
Steve is married to his wife Blaise, and they have two sons, Grandon and Grant.
