Beer, once touted as “recession proof” is facing its greatest challenge since Prohibition. With shelter in place orders has come a record increase in off-premise sales of all alcohol, but the increase in these sales for any Brewer, large or small, has not been enough to offset the unprecedented decline in the on-premise sales as a result of the closing of bars, restaurants, stadiums, taprooms and music venues.  What's happening in the Beer industry and how do the challenges differ from wine and spirits? What could the future look like for beer? What are some best practices from suppliers, distributors and retailers to help their organizations adapt to a changed marketplace?
