Level 2 Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Training: Strategies for Creating Safer, Healthier Communities with Special Guest, RAINN
Brought to you by WOTVS, DISCUS & WSWA
Wednesday, March 29
7:30AM PST / 10:30AM EST
As part of an ongoing initiative to support those in the alcohol beverage industry, Women of the Vine & Spirits (WOTVS), in partnership with Corporate Member Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) and Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA), has hired RAINN to develop this customized training for WOTVS, DISCUS and WSWA members, and the alcohol beverage community.
RAINN, the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization, will provide participants with trauma-informed education to increase awareness around sexual misconduct and strategies for prevention. RAINN helps organizations meet the complexities of today’s climate by moving beyond compliance toward values-based, sustainable solutions that promote safe and healthy communities.
Leveraging their expertise and insights, RAINN’s consulting team will deliver a customized, interactive virtual training to increase awareness around sexual misconduct and provide participants with the knowledge to apply strategies for prevention and response. This session is one of five Level 2 training sessions.
Building upon the education and skills learned in RAINN’s Level 1 Training, this 90-minute session will be a deeper dive into understanding the complexities of sexual misconduct, including recognizing pervasive myths and misconceptions as well as understanding how our own biases influence our responses. In this interactive, skills-based session, participants will deepen their understanding of how to create safer, supportive communities through the application of strategies around boundary-setting, bystander intervention, and community conversations, and how to promote community-wide change through a trauma-informed framework.
This session will not be recorded.

Thanks to a generous donation from Love, Tito’s, the philanthropic arm of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a Silver Corporate Member of WOTVS and Benefactor Donor to the WOTVS Foundation, the program received funding to initiate the launch.
For those employed, please check with your HR Manager if your company offers an EAP program before applying.
