Navigating Partners & Family at Home While Working Remote: Can We All Stay Sane?

Wednesday, April 15
10:00AM PST / 1:00PM EST

Hosted by Global Symposium 2020 Scheduled Speaker, Kristi Rible Scobie, Founder and CEO, The Huuman Group

Navigating home and work in the same small place can be challenging at any time, let alone during a massive pandemic.  There are no "one-size-fits-all" answers, but there are reflections and acknowledgements that we can all make in these times. Setting reasonable expectations, understanding how values shift, and focusing on what we really need as work leaders, as family members, as humans, are all critical areas that will be addressed during this session.

There is a two part registration process.

Kristi Rible Scobie is Founder and CEO of The Huuman GroupTM, a culture consultancy focused on moving organizations towards true gender balance. She is committed to breaking down the web of systemic challenges that can hinder a woman’s growth and progress at work and helps companies to realize the full value that gender balance can bring to both individuals and to corporations themselves.

Having spent most of her career working for both public and startup ventures in emerging and developed markets, throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and the US, she is an expert at understanding cultural norms and behaviors and transforming organizations into ones that embrace the “human” in all of us.

In addition to over twenty years of management experience in industries which include wireless telecommunications, wine, and the non-profit sector, she holds hers MBA in International Management from Thunderbird and her BA in African Studies and Classical Archaeology from Franklin & Marshall College. She is an anthropologist at heart and believes that everyone should experience time amongst a culture other than one’s own. Only then is perspective undeniable and empathy achievable.
