WSET provides best-in-class education and qualifications to inspire and empower the world’s wine and spirits professionals and enthusiasts. We offer a comprehensive suite of qualifications covering wines, spirits and sake.

WSET qualifications are globally recognised as the international standard in wine and spirit knowledge. They are designed for those who are just starting out in their careers, as well as established professionals, and the many enthusiasts who have a passion for wines and spirits.

Deniece Bourne joined WSET Americas in January 2019 from Palate Selections – a boutique wine import and distribution business catering to the hospitality sector in Barbados which she co-founded and managed for almost a decade. As Business Development Manager, Deniece is responsible for new and existing Approved Programme Providers and developing awareness of WSET qualifications across North America's East Coast and The Caribbean, and is also a Course Educator for Levels 1 and 2 Awards in Wines and in Spirits. Deniece has an Associate's degree in French, Spanish and Italian for Business and Tourism, a BSC in Biology, a MSc in Management from the University of Surrey, and is currently pursuing the WSET Level 4 Award (Diploma) in Wines. US-born to Barbadian parents, Deniece is based in New York City.

David is a 10 year veteran of the drinks business. Following a foundation in hospitality where he earned his Certified Sommelier credential, he spent 6 years in sales management within the U.S. Distributor market, working with brands such as Diageo, Bacardi, Moet-Hennessy, William Grant & Sons and Constellation. He has been both a student and an educator for WSET, having established a WSET Approved Programme Provider for a former employer, where he was also the lead educator. Dave has written for several trade publications, including the United States Bartender’s Guild National Blog, and posts often to his own industry blog, drinkingthings.com. He successfully completed both his WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits alongside a MBA at Yale University.
