Melanie Batchelor is the Managing Director, Campari America, the sixth-largest spirits company in the world. A globally respected industry veteran, Mrs. Batchelor has more than ten years of deep experience within the beverage and spirits industries specializing in brand management, strategy, and innovation.  

 

Melanie is a natural and committed leader with a proven track record of delivering strong results and fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive culture. She inherently understands the importance of leading by example and encourages leadership opportunities for women throughout the organization and within the industry.

 

Before her current role, Mrs. Batchelor was appointed to the position of Marketing Director for Campari Group, where she was responsible for building a new marketing organization and a five-year brand strategy for  some of the world’s most iconic spirits brands in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands region. This remarkable achievement led to multiple promotions within the Campari Group organization, culminating in her appointment to Vice President Marketing, Global Spirits brands, quickly followed by her elevation to Vice President Marketing, Campari America and President of Campari Canada, where she grew and led Campari Canada through its various milestones. 

 

During Mrs. Bachelor’s tenure, she led the collaboration between Matthew McConaughey and Wild Turkey, which resulted in the brand being named Wine Enthusiast’s Spirit of the Year. Her strategy for Aperol Spritz also resulted in double-digit growth for the brand in the U.S., where Aperol remains one of the fastest-growing beverage alcohol brands on the planet. 

 

A native of Australia, Melanie enjoys jogging, skiing, traveling, and responsibly enjoying Boulevardiers. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Technology, Sydney, and maintains residences in Texas and soon to be NYC with her husband and three stepchildren.

In her current role as the Chief Human Resources Officers, Emma leads the development and execution of the global human resources strategy.

With over 12 years of global human resources experience, she specializes in optimizing the employee experience and driving business results through workforce engagement. She began her career at Brown-Forman, where she spent eight years in roles of progressive human resources leadership. In 2016, she relocated to New York City to lead the HR organization at CaaStle, Incorporated. Emma returned to the spirits industry in 2018, as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Stoli Group International, where she reported to the CEO and was a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

She holds a B.A. in Pre-Law and Sociology from Xavier University as well as executive education from the Kellogg School of Management and Harvard Business School.
