This helps our grapes develop the acidity and excellent citrus and honey flavors that typifies great Chardonnay. The wine has only received a little bit of malolatic fermentation and no oak. Aromas of lemongrass, pineapple and honeysuckle are followed by a round mouthful of passion fruit and honeydew melon. 	2006 Central Coast Merlot by Alison Crowe Often the last vineyard picked, Sweetwater Vineyards was the obvious choice for our 2006 Monterey County Merlot. With an exceptionally long hang time, accompanied by an excellent combination of hot days and cool nights the Merlot grapes maintain their acidity, keep their rich aromas, and produce a deep almost-black-purple. Our Merlot is fermented at low temperatures to maintain its flavors and structure. A little French and American oak compliment the fruit making for a well balanced, food friendly wine. 	2009 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon by Alison Crowe 88% of our Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Firehouse and Branch Vineyards in the heart of the Paso Robles appellation. We use these Paso Robles vineyards, because while they all produce excellent fruit, they also have excellent soil structure and uniformity, allowing all the grapes to ripen all at the same time. This is a marriage of a deep Paso Cab, with a rich Monterey Cabernet, rounded out with a little Malbec to create a wonderfully complex and complete wine. Deep black ruby in color with enticing aromas of rose petal, ripe plum, black cherry, and spice. Big, lush, and round in the mouth with flavors matching the aromas. Layers of earth and toast integrate. The balance is very good with good length and persistent flavors. This wine is drinking great now: structure to age as well.

Napa Rojo is a blend of rare grapes, Touriga, Graciano, Tempranillo, and Tinto Caõ, all dry-farmed in Calistoga. Using one of her favorite varietals and one of the rarest in the world, Graciano; its nose is rich with red cherry and cassis and it creates magic when blended with Tempranillo.

2006 Paso Robles Tempranillo by Dorothy Schuler

Tempranillo is a thick-skinned, deep purple grape that produces a beautiful fruity, full-bodied wine with soft tannins. Blackberry and cherry flavors are followed by a long finish with vanilla and almond. This wine was aged 2 years in French and American oak and 1 year in the bottle before its release.
